“How Can You Refuse Him Now?”
by Brooke Fraser
There’s a story old, that has often been told,
Of how our Savior died, as they nailed His hands,
He cried they don’t understand,
As the blood flowed from His side.
How can you refuse Him now, how can you refuse Him now,
How can you turn away from His side,
With tears in His eyes, on the cross there He died,
How can you refuse Jesus now.
As He hung there on the tree, He prayed for you and me,
There was no one His pain to ease,
Before He died, He faintly cried,
Father forgive them please.
The Lord is my light and my help.
The world promises you comfort but you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness!Pope Benedict XV
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me such a loving Mother who, with the Holy Spirit, always so gently brings me closer to Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Mary, Helper of Christians, pray for us.
We find rest in those we love, and we provide a resting place in ourselves for those who love us.St. Bernard of Clairvaux
The rich man is not one who is in possession of much, but one who gives much.St. John Chrysostom
If God causes you to suffer much, it is a sign that He certainly intends to make you a saint.St. Ignatius
From the Eucharist comes strength to live the Christian life and zeal to share that life with others.Pope John Paul II
De Maria numquam satis.
People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.
